Student Research
Student research opportunities within the College of Health Professions are available through several programs. These are supported in departments as well as through infrastructure grants.
- Arkansas INBRE summer research fellowships are available for undergraduate students who are rising juniors or seniors. Selected students will work on a project relevant to human health in a laboratory of a faculty member at either the University of Arkansas, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, or the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.Students with an undergraduate science major (e.g., biology, chemistry) should apply for a fellowship in Biomedical Research. Students with an undergraduate major in computer sciences, mathematics or a related discipline are encouraged to apply for a fellowship in Bioinformatics.
- The annual UAMS campus-wide Student Research Day is for students interested in presenting their research. Held in the spring of each year, students can participate in the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) oral competition or present a poster of their research work.
